1. Acceptance and who may use Orogex
These terms are an agreement between you and Orogex Inc., the Ontario, Canada company that operates Orogex. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. You may not use Orogex if you are located in, or a resident of, a jurisdiction where doing so would violate applicable law, or if you are on a sanctions or prohibited-persons list maintained by the Canadian, U.S., or relevant local government. You’re responsible for the accuracy of the account information you give us and for keeping your login credentials to yourself — activity under your account is treated as yours.
2. Not investment advice
Orogex is an analytics and educational instrument. Nothing on the service — no chart, no archetype label, no plain-English read, no AI committee output — is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or derivative. Options involve substantial risk and are not suitable for all investors; you can lose more than you put in.
Orogex is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, or fiduciary, and nothing here creates that relationship. We surface positioning and structure; we do not tell you what to do with it. You alone are responsible for your trading decisions, and for understanding the risks before you make them. Past behavior of a market, a regime, or an archetype is not a guarantee of how it behaves next time — terrain tells you the ground under a market, not the weather ahead of it.
3. Market data
Market data displayed in Orogex — quotes, Greeks, open interest, and any values derived from them — is licensed for your personal, non-commercial use inside the product. You may not redistribute it, resell it, scrape it, or use automated tools to extract it for use outside Orogex. Values shown are frequently derived or modeled rather than raw exchange prints; treat them as structural context, not an execution-grade quote.
Data comes to us through third-party exchange and vendor feeds, delivered on their schedule, not ours. We do not guarantee uninterrupted delivery, and a vendor outage or exchange halt can leave a level stale or a chart empty. Where we know data is missing or delayed, we show that gap rather than filling it with a guess.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Paid tiers renew automatically at the interval you selected — monthly or annual — until you cancel. Cancel any time from your account settings; access continues through the end of the period you’ve already paid for, with no partial refund for the unused portion beyond what’s described below.
First paid month only: if Orogex isn’t for you, request a full refund within 14 days, no questions asked. After that window, subscriptions run to the end of the paid period and are not refunded pro rata.
Founding rates are locked for as long as the subscription tied to them stays active, without a lapse. Prices for new subscribers rise after general availability; a founding member’s rate does not, unless they let their subscription lapse and later resubscribe at the then-current price.
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and charged in U.S. dollars unless we tell you otherwise at checkout; applicable taxes are added on top and shown before you pay. If a payment fails, we’ll try again and email you — a subscription that stays unpaid past a short grace period is suspended, not silently kept running.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying models or methodology behind Orogex’s classifications. Don’t scrape the service with automated tools, attempt to circumvent rate limits, or resell access. Don’t share a single account across multiple people or entities — seats are per person. Don’t probe, load-test, or attempt to disrupt the service’s infrastructure; if you find a genuine security issue, tell us before you poke at it further — legal@orogex.com reaches a human who will take it seriously. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate this section, with notice where practical.
6. Intellectual property
Orogex Inc. owns the service — the software, the terrain visualizations, the archetype methodology, the written content, and the Orogex name and mark. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for its intended purpose while your subscription is active. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any of it to you.
If you send us feedback, a feature request, or a bug report, you’re giving us permission to use it to improve Orogex without owing you anything for it. We’ll still only ever credit or compensate contributions we’ve separately agreed to in writing.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Market data may contain errors, gaps, or delays; we work to keep it accurate, but we do not guarantee completeness or timeliness, and outages happen. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orogex’s total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or decisions made using information from the service.
We’re not liable for delays or failures caused by something genuinely outside our control — an exchange outage, a data-vendor failure, an internet backbone disruption. In those cases we’ll work to restore service and tell you what happened, not paper over it.
8. Termination, governing law, and changes
You may stop using Orogex and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable within it, without regard to conflict-of- law principles, and any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes are posted here with a new date at the top, and where practical, we’ll email active subscribers ahead of anything significant. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands — one bad clause doesn’t void the agreement. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Orogex on this subject; any side conversation that isn’t written here or in a separate signed agreement doesn’t count. Questions go to legal@orogex.com.
