Privacy Policy

This page explains what information Orogex collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. No legalese theater — if a sentence here reads like it was written to confuse you, that’s a bug. Tell us.

1. Who we are

Orogex is a market-structure analytics instrument operated by Orogex Inc., a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada. This policy covers the marketing site, the product, and anything else that sits under the Orogex name. Questions about your data go to privacy@orogex.com — a person reads it, not a queue.

2. What we collect

Account data. Your email and name when you register, and whatever you choose to add to your profile afterward.

Billing. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — Stripe handles that end of the transaction entirely, and hands us back a subscription status, nothing more.

Product usage. Which features you use, how often, and what the service returned to you — the ordinary telemetry that tells us what’s broken and what’s worth building next. This includes coarse technical context like browser type and device category, aggregated across users; we don’t build a cross-site profile of you from it, and it doesn’t leave our infrastructure.

Support correspondence. Anything you send us when you ask for help, kept so we can help you and anyone who inherits the thread later.

Waitlist emails. If you request early access, we keep the email you gave us until you’re onboarded or you ask us to remove it.

3. What we do not do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not build a profile of you to sell to anyone else. We do not collect brokerage credentials, and we never connect to your brokerage account — Orogex is an analytics instrument, not a trading gateway, and has no mechanism to place, route, or touch a trade on your behalf.

4. Cookies

We use essential session cookies to keep you signed in; the service does not function without them. We use privacy-respecting product analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns, configured to avoid third-party ad tracking and cross-site profiling. There is no advertising pixel on this site, and we do not sell or share cookie data with ad networks. You can block non-essential cookies in your browser settings; the marketing site will still work, and the product will still let you sign in.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. Delete your account and we remove your data within 30 days. Write to privacy@orogex.com to request deletion, export, or correction of anything we hold on you — we will confirm once it’s done.

6. Processors

A small number of processors run the parts of the service we don’t build ourselves: Stripe for billing, Clerk for authentication, and cloud infrastructure providers to host the application and its data. Each is bound by its own data-processing terms, and none receives more than the minimum it needs to do its job. We review each processor before we add it and drop any that stop meeting our bar — a shrinking list is a feature, not a limitation.

7. Jurisdiction

Orogex is operated by Orogex Inc. from Ontario, Canada, and this policy is governed by the laws of that province. Your data may be processed on servers outside your home country, including in Canada and the United States; wherever it moves, the protections in this policy move with it. If you are in the EU/EEA or California, you have rights under GDPR or the CCPA respectively — access, correction, deletion, and portability — and we honor those requests regardless of where you live. Email privacy@orogex.com to exercise them, and expect a substantive reply within 30 days.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. Updates are posted here with a new date at the top. A material change — anything that expands what we collect or how we use it — will be flagged clearly, not buried in a version bump.
